A Walk in the Park

Ankur came back from her China trip and was dead tired. So, I decided to take Aadi (who slept for 10+ hours and had to burn off his energy) to the French park as soon as he got up.

I forgot what Diya was doing … a play date? Anyway, it was 3rd July and we all had the day off. Which also means dealing with two high energy kids all through the day!

Aadi was thrilled to "hike" for the first time in French park. He started off walking slowly looking all around. He was mesmerized to see the sunlight trickling down through the tree canopy …. just for a bit and then made a dash for it! :)

We had a great time playing in the "spider net" (cargo rope net)! At one time Aadi decided to climb a 20 ft vertical wall to use as an "illegal" shortcut to between to two pathways one of top of the other. Not cool! (… but kind of cool :) )

After a while I got tired playing in the cargo rope net. So, I sat down on a bench and started reading Joe Nesbo's "The Devil's Star" on my iPhone. After a few pages (locations?), when I looked up to check on Aadi, I found that he has managed to find some older girls to include him with them and spin him around on the tire swing! ( … there's always a way.)

And of course, the coolest thing for Aadi at the end was to cool off with his favorite ice-cream - Sponge-bob! :)
